Until that shit hole is underwater in a few decades

Square Cr6Fhk Dec 23, 2021

Explains why Al Gore, Obama and every other high profile peddler of this myth owns oceanfront property there.

Northrop Grumman yeezystack Dec 23, 2021

You think they’re gonna be around that long lmao?

Salesforce G-unut$ Dec 23, 2021

Doesn’t stop people like Nancy pelosi buying a place there or Obama buying a house on Martha’s Vineyard….they don’t seem to be too concerned

Northrop Grumman yeezystack Dec 23, 2021

Not to mention trump literally lives there to avoid taxes

Malwarebytes cyberfreak Dec 23, 2021

Yo! Martha’s Vineyard is in Massachusetts 😂

I don't get the Miami hype. 1. Poor higher level education system 2. Few to no notable businesses outside of real estate and tourism 3. Society is split between old rich white people and young poor Latin Americans. It's diverse on paper, but not in the same way as NYC or California 4. Chances of finding a high earning, educated, and attractive partner are lower than other big cities

Google fJHP05 Dec 23, 2021

It's sunny and hot year round, the beach is pretty damn nice, relatively short distance to nyc, europe and low taxes. It's not as well educated or as ambitious as nyc/sf, the local economy kinda sucks, but if you're in tech and full remote, that's not such a problem.

Meta alex4432 Dec 23, 2021

Miami still has a small town feel which I like when I visit. It’s way more laid-back than NYC or California

DoorDash dodoss Dec 23, 2021

Grandma Nancy needs you to believe that electric cars will solve climate change. She has tesla investments.

Amazon wawY45 Dec 23, 2021

Interesting list, but note how no HQs or CEOs of any major companies moved there. Larry Ellison simply bought a house, they actually moved Oracle HQ to Austin last year. No indication it'll be his primary residence. Wikipedia indicates he moved from California to Hawaii in 2020 after buying one of the islands. Peter Thiel simply bought a house and opened a satellite office.

Plaid g-unit01 Dec 23, 2021

A lot of Florida haters on blind. I’d still pick Florida over sf.

WorkForce Software 4u4jdj3u Dec 23, 2021

Some parts are decent but Miami is a no for me. Hyde park in Tampa, winter park by Orlando, or riverside in Jacksonville are all pretty nice areas

AT&T VcWw52 Jan 5, 2022

Yeah living in area like that is better and you can buy houses easily. The bay area employee with a 250k TC can't even buy a house in the bay area alone lmao

Amazon Bojangles' Dec 23, 2021

Yeah Florida totally sucks. Please for the love of God don't move a bunch of tech companies there and turn it into Seattle or California

Plaid g-unit01 Dec 23, 2021

Maybe I’m wrong but at least with Florida you don’t have to worry about walking down the street and seeing a junkie nonchalantly injecting heroin into his arms.

BNY Mellon Mypq48 Dec 23, 2021

You're sure about that? (Source: CDC)

Amazon KUYW05 Jan 5, 2022

BNY now compare that chart to the bay area
