So IBM is choosing to survive via M&A
IBM going to ruin another company.
Is hashicorp public or private?
HashiCorp has been a mess for years. We finally found someone dumb enough to take this mismanaged dumpster fire off our hands. 👏
What was the acquisition price?
Rumored to be $6.4B or $35/share per CNBC, but market is currently pricing in a discount.
Hashi has been on the decline for years. Was valued at $13 B at IPO only a few years ago. Now it’s acquired for half that. That’s the price of indecision. I don’t think hashicorp ever understood how to monetize OS and couldn’t make a solid cloud offering due to internal bickering. They will fit right in at an old dinosaur like ibm
