Even when things are going fairly well, I have this anxiety of losing my job and having just 60 days to find and join a new company. When things go bad at work, like missing a deadline or when I make a mistake that anxiety shoots up many fold. How do you deal with it?
Yes so I interview every couple of months to keep something in the pipeline. Been doing this since 2011.
I had the same feeling when I was early on my GC process, I don't have it yet, but I feel it closer, so I forget a little bit about that.
Funny enough, when I was on work visa I didn't feel nervous about keeping my job. I only felt trapped in the job.
Same here.. it hits badly my mental health.. don’t know how to deal as well..
Same for me. If you have already or on path to saving enough $$$, plan an exit strategy. That's what I'm doing
Where are you planning to exit, Google?
Just go back if needed. If you are Indian or Chinese, there are plenty options back home. If not you’ll get a gc anyways
Easier said than done. Folks with US citizen kid are in bigger dilemma
@eBay You can always get Indian citizenship back home.
No, because Amazon is very safe.
I have made myself comfortable with the worst case scenario. Even if I lose my job here, I can go back to home country and get a new job. Things would be rough but not the end of the world.
No, because google is very safe
No, I don't have h1b anxiety. But have different typ of anxiety .. My anxiety is usually due to family and I keep thinking about my old parents. One thing I will tell you is that, try to avoid or treat anxiety. Otherwise you won't be able to enjoy life and days will just go by..
In same boat, don't know what to do. Just stuck in that fear.
