Follow-up Interview after Facebook Onsite
Hi, Blinders, I had FB onsite last week and today recruiter contacted me saying that my coding was extremely good but they are not able to decide the level for me and need a followup Behavioral Interview + Systems Design Interview. Now I am a bit confused:- 1) Are these rounds are only for Level and if I fail they will give me one level down? 2) Are these follow-ups common? 3) What is the success rate of these kinds of follow-ups? 4) And in how many days will I get the result after this follow up? Ask your recruiter what happens if you refuse to go through the follow up interviews. Will you get an offer without it? That will help you answer question 1. I think the follow ups are more common than you think. I don’t know the answers to your other questions.
Lol don’t do this. Go onsite again and crush it and they will get you a great offer. The follow up interviews are very common
They have replied in an email that they cannot make an offer without followup. And to ask these question to my recruiter I have to wait till Monday :(
How did it go
Yes they are trying to justify your upper target level (seems to be L5 based on your yoe) and it's common. My experience with these follow-ups are all positive but it depends on your performance. You'll get result within a week. For context I recently went through this and still got L5 offer with $400k+ TC plus 100k signon, so follow-ups are not red flags as long as you can perform well in them.
