And I fail all the tests anyways
psychometrics is pseudoscience, it's unbelievable how widespread that bullshit is
All personality tests are pseudoscience. They were all the rage 10 years ago but fortunately most companies have realized they are bullshit.
HR pushes this with bogus studies. Psychology in general is a pseudoscience.
In college I applied for swe at uhaul and they had me take an IQ test. I was rejected shortly after
I’ve had a similar experience with a personality test and job application at the Cheesecake Factory for a bus boy position lol
lol IQ test at UHaul 😂
One alao allows fuzzy logic where there's almost 'no wrong answer' and the other, super black and white with little room for error or difference of opinion.
Someone didn't land their new consulting gig.
Nah. Got banned from fishbowl for trolling the consultants too much a couple weeks ago That app is different than blind where u get notified every time someone reports u and they like to gang up together to report people they don’t like. Last time I pissed off bain consulting. A couple years ago I was banned bc I kept antagonizing bcg lol
But also I did apply to bain and bcg three years ago and got rejected after a couple rounds. Thinking of applying again since bain is the only damn company out there that will consider hiring me overseas in the dach region but their interview process makes me want to shit bricks and throw them at their employees on fishbowl
Some of those tests are generic third party and there's resources that explain how to answer them...
Hot take: Pymetrics is basically astrology for MBAs
It’s like this website and they want all applicants to be the executive type https://www.16personalities.com/personality-types
How accurate do you think these personality tests are?
Ah hello BCG long time no chat. What do you mean by accurate? My understanding of how pymetrics operates is they setup a quiz and then have the employees of a firm that wants to use their service take the quiz and then they go and look for candidates who answer questions the same way the firms employees did.
