For xooglers moved from G to FB, what’s your experience?
Hey I have an upcoming interview at FB, I have some doubt, can I do a survey assuming you moved from G to FB? 1. What’s your before and after level at G and FB? 2. Does FB give you a higher level if you are 6/7/8 at G? I know for L3/4/5 it’s common 3. Do you regret the decision? 4. What’s the pros and cons working at G and FB? 5. Will FB have much larger comp like base and equity? I heard FB comp is 1.5x+ of G, true? 6. How is the WLB at Facebook? Do you really need to work overtime like 10+ hours a day in order to get CME? What’s the risk of getting NI if you don’t want to work overtime? 7. How is the benefit at FB? How many PTO, what’s the accumulated limit ( In G it’s 300 hours) Any insight would be super appreciated!

Moving to Fb. Fb TC: 434 over 4 years G tc: 362 next year Yoe: 6 years Been at Google for 4 years.
A Xoogler in my bootcamp class told me that FB felt like G from 10 years ago.
Can you elaborate? So you gave a bootcamp class to new hires? My main concern is that Facebook does not have useful product

I get paid more. I work about the same. Far fewer slackers, more motivated people. At google it was like playing in the NBA all star game where everyone’s just there having fun, FB feels like the NBA finals where everyone is working harder to ‘win’. Still the same game, still same 48 mins, just more competitive since FB pays for performance. A superb at Google wasn’t a huge bump in my computer, the equivalent at FB would be. edit: computer = comp

it’s like ee=1.25 see=2 superb=3, when i got superb at google i got 1.8.
