Received an offer from Ford for a Digital Manufacturing/Industry 4.0 Engineer position (GSR 6). Salary is $77k. Has anyone had success negotiating offers with Ford or getting a higher salary than initially offered? I want to make the company switch but I would need a bigger boost in TC. Current TC: $73k 2 YOE
Don't bother moving companies for less than 15-20% raise. That ford offer is dumb
Press hard be aggressive Ford is an old mentality company they respect aggressive, that's low too. Come in as a gsr 7/8 or do no accept. You will do the same level of work as a 6 trust me.
Thanks, yeah I figured it would be good to be aggressive with it. So it's common to negotiate GSR level? I agree the offer is low, it would be tough for me to take it as-is.
Yes you can negotiate I believe easier at the GSR level as there is more leway. The job description for a GSR 7 will be the exact same as what your interviewing for. I would start with the GSR 7 period.
