I interned as a Sr. Product Manager (MBA) at Amazon a few years ago. I’ve applied to a few jobs but havent even gone past the review stage. I didn’t get a return offer, but my former manager recommended to either 1) apply at an L5 level instead of L6 after school or 2) boomerang after a year or so and get in as an L6. Any former MBA interns here who didnt get a return offer but got in after some time? Does Amazon blacklist former interns? Just dont know if I should keep applying or if it’s a lost cause.
I did not get an offer for L5, but my former manager gave that as an option after graduation. From what I know about Amazon culture of giving straight up feedback, I don’t think they would say that just to be nice or if they didn’t really mean it.
Did you get an offer to return after you graduated? I'm in software dev so it might be different but our interns who don't get offers don't get offers for a reason, and the managers feedback definitely sticks with them wherever they try to go in Amazon
