I was offered but the amount of ownership/equity granted to CTO way too less. Additionally, working on their idea wasn’t preferred as I had different product ideas in different domain(s)

Sure, but offers to be a cofounder/CTO have been around for a while. When I was leaving undergrad, I got some outreach to be the CTO of a startup in France.
