A friend in BLR company was asked to resign via a video call citing performance reasons. He was not given many projects in his 6 months tenure to judge the performance and performance was never brought up before. The HR is threatening to immediately resign or termination process will be initiated. Very difficult for a fresher with 6 months exp to get a job amid all the layoffs and corona related lockdowns. They are insistent that decision has already been made and nothing can be changed. Should he resign under pressure or fight back for a fair evaluation. Update : Friend resigned. The company backtracked on its word of allowing two months of work and terminated accounts immediately. Hopefully they will pay 2 months salary. Since people are asking the name of company is HashedIn.
He has been told that two months notice period will be there if he resigns. For termination they did not tell anything specific but worst case scenario is not getting salary and exp letter. By their tone they were saying resignation will help in smooth termination of the process.
Shit. Who does like that 🙈 sounds like they want to get rid of your friend
He is not the only one who was informed this way. But there were others for what he told me more than 20 people are being fired over night.
By friend................do you mean you?
Not me. For sure.
OP reveal the company name so that folks be advised to stay from that shithole ?
Which company?
Name and shame the company
Yes please , Name and Shame the company.
Always lawyer up in situations like this.
What a shitty company, to not even keep its word of paying 2 months salary
You get unemployment benefits if you're terminated right? I'd put up a fight unless they hate the job.
