I work as data analytics manager with a Bank and got an offer from Accenture as an insight advisor lead. My current job is hands on and technical while I do advisory work but with Accenture its going to be full advisory. I’m not sure if its a right decision to move. They offer 40+ k. I declined an offer from Deloitte last year when my company gave me a counter offer so I don’t think they’d do it again. Any suggestion?

Our data and AI practice is our bread and butter. The Northeast region (mine) is doing well with winning work right now. It sounds like they’re bringing you in at the “lead” level which is the same as Consultant (usually 3-5YOE). You’ll still be hands on and likely lead an analyst or 2 on day to day projects. It could be a good growth opportunity to a people lead AND learning many different solutions. At Accenture, I’ve had the ability to interact with tons of different solutions, which feels very valuable. If Accenture is offering 40K+ then I’d take it
Thanks so much with the reply! I actually have more the 5 YOE and up for a promotion for a senior manager by the end of fiscal year in Nov. Do you know if the level Accenture offers (Lead) worth giving up the promotion? Not sure about the career growth there
Can you ask for clarity on the career level? “Lead” is usually CL9-Consultant-TeamLead CL7-Manager, CL6-SrMan I’d say this could be a reduction in leadership requirements since you’d be leading projects and not expected to sell new work — Manager and above spends a chunk of their time selling new work rather than delivering client work. I’d say go where the money is higher and responsibility is less
