From Walmart Contractor to FTE (Android)
I am currently working as a contractor SDE for Walmart since a year. I am hoping to get converted to FTE. I wanted to know the steps on how can I achieve that. My performance is between good and excellent range. I have earlier worked as FTE for startups for a couple of years. I just got hit up by a recruiter for staff level at Walmart labs. They are definitely still hiring. Full remote too

Usually your current contracting company will try to block full time switch. If that is not the case, you can check with your Walmarts engineering manager and let them know that you are interested for full time switch.
Not true. Contracting companies will not block your move to full time (unless it is explicitly stated on your contract).
