Hi guys, I had applied for a C++/ Python senior engineer developer position in Bloomberg London via their website. The pre requisites did not mention anything about language. I got a reply from them asking to schedule an interview (seems to be with a HR). I do not have much experience wirh python and almost zero with C++, I have mostly worked only with Java so far. My resume also suggests the same. Will this be a blocker with interviews? Also what is the process for interviews? I have been reading multiple things (Some with HR screening and some without) Additional Info: 3 YOE Any other suggestions/tips will be appreciated too! thanks :) #bloomberg #interview #software #engineering #swe
Get this book - Ace the trading systems engineer Interview - and do some leetcoding for practice...brush up on c++ and python a week each
If you have 3-4 weeks time, above strategy will work
That book is not useful for Bloomberg.

Start grinding, looks like you’ve applied to a senior level position working with two unfamiliar technologies. You got this, fake it till you make it ✊🏻
Hey, thank you :) Hoping to be prepared well enough for problem solving, design etc. to compensate for lack of knowledge in language.
