Fuck you UST management!

<rant> After more than a decade with msft, I quit because of some ridiculous managers at ust that would do all kinds of immoral things to save their ass at the expense of others. I don’t have any regrets anymore (I did initially). Things worked out in my favor, I figured out my true worth outside the company. </rant> Beware: they are sending out double or triple referral bonuses for hiring in UST because their reputation is so bad, inside and outside the company. So very likely someone from Ust will reach out to you if you are in the job market. You will be in a shit hole if you come here.

If you intend to join msft anytime it is better to know the teams that are good and bad inside the company. For folks within the company that doesn’t know what UST is, I’m sorry but I have to call you ignorant. The org has close to 6000 people in it, more than the size of many small companies

UST had already lots of problems: legacy code, too many points of integration inside and outside the company, an area that is not sexy for young people (billing!), old managers still stuck in old tools and process. Yet, they really blew it with the diversity hires and promos. Who wants to report to a lady made partner who failed up consistently at Microsoft. Another gay partner is interesting to talk with, but knows nothing about tech. How can they think people don't notice that?!

You think your core crappy team problem is from diversity hires? That makes me think you have a prob. with diversity. What company ever hired enough people that way to matter? You also don't like gays. I am guessing you might be the problem.

I have no problem with women, gays or Klingons. What I have a problem with is hiring and promoting unqualified people just because we need a % of women, gays or Klingons due to the vocal pressure of the Internet nowadays. That is the new problem that was the last drop in the UST bucket. I didn't exclude the old problems (read what I wrote) and those were mostly created by a bunch of straight white men (who also shouldn't have been hired/promoted).
