Full time to Contract w/ Amazon?

I'm currently working as a full-time Software Engineer. I've received an offer from Amazon for a 6-month contract to hire position. Considering Amazon's hire/fire culture, I'm doubtful about the "to-hire" part. However, it is a serious bump from my previous TC (65$ per hour). I should also mention that I am interviewing for full time roles with other companies, but have no offers from them yet. Was wondering if anyone here has any advice for someone in my position. Is it ever worth it to go from a full time role to a contract position? TC: 95k

Go for it, it is a tc bump plus a much better brand then where you are at. Contract is a great path to full time. The only thing to consider is any health insurance coverage gaps.

Unless you have another full time offer at a FAANG, I'd go for it, even if you don't get hired in 6 months, you will have the experience and that reference on your resume.
