Fully remote job prospects after 2 yrs @ Amazon?

Just accepted an offer for L4 tech job @ Amazon but will have to relocate to Seattle/Bellevue unfortunately. What are my chances of getting a fully remote job at FAANG or any well paying company so I can return to my state for good? Any advice? TC: 140k

Not good. Much easier if you were more senior. I’ve been outright banned from hiring remote below L6 (not MS)

Dang. Am I gonna have to stay there for 4+ yrs?

OP: nah. The system is not designed for you to stay 4 years. You will probably leave for better opportunities on your own or being PiPed out.

Deal with the issue at hand onboarding and moving to L5

Average time to go from L4 to L5? From a bit of googling it seems its minimum 9m/1y - maximum 2-3yrs

I went 4 to 5 in a year. Also saw some bad L4’s stuck at 3+ years but not fired (I’ll let you guess why).

Depends on the job and city, there’s select AWS roles that are intentionally hired remotely (and not changing) but they’re for specific reasons and certain states have more openings than others

None.

Dang. People here confirming what I already knew about RTO. Reddit is delusional and says there's tons of remote jobs.

To be fair, we're just talking about FAANG level salaries or higher.
