I started a H1B transfer to Deloitte. My application was hit with an RFE. After the RFE was filed, which took a month, the petition was reviewed by USCIS and then apparently the lawyers said they are asking for additional business docs from the company. Has this ever happened before with a Big4 Sr Consultant role? I don't understand what additional evidence they could need after an RFE submission. Any ideas on how long this extra process could take? The whole H1B transfer has been going on for over 3 months now.
Dont join Deloitte. I recently had my H1B extension denied. Attorneys here dont file it properly. They give generic job description for tech and business roles. I still have 4 years out of the initial 6 remaining.
It took me 5 months to join new company last time I was hit with an RFE. Lawyers need to collect a lot of docs to strengthen your case, so I would just be patient with them. That being said, I know it’s very stressful.
Thanks for the reply! Did it take you 5 months in total with LCA, H1B, RFE etc? And did you have multiple back and forths with the RFE process i.e., UCSIS kept requesting more docs from the business? Makes me feel better other people are facing similar issues because I see posts of RFE apps being approved after 7 days etc.
The lawyers sent only one response to RFE and it was approved. It took 50 days for lawyers to respond. So the overall time was around 4-5 months.
