Been reading on blind that Indeed.com has a lot of coasters. The WLB is good, but there is no deadline pressure and work is not done on time. No new product is launched. Good talent has been leaving Indeed. People at Indeed, what do you think about future of indeed? PS: All the things I have written, are basically derived from comments on Blind.
Company is highly profitable and double digit revenue growth for years now. See recruit holdings stock.
Someone wrote in other post that it grows 15% yoy, with 7% yoy after accounting for yen depreciation
This company will mostly be irrelevant by 2030-2035 like Monster.com became irrelevant in 2010-2015. It's just a copycat company that can't even do it well. The origins of the company were that it was inspired by Google, but to be scoped only for jobs. Funny, because Google barely had to lift a finger to launch Google For Jobs a few years ago which terrified people at our company. You should have seen the Q&A after the Google's announcement, it was dominated with concerns. The only reason it hasn't blown past Indeed is because Google is concerned about anti-trust action and haven't seriously ramped it up. Indeed Prime was just a copycat of Hired.com and failed in a spectacular dumpster fire. They spent a ton of money needlessly on rebranding to "Seen by Indeed" before being shut down only a few months later. The current pet project is IHP which is just a rip off of the automation features in ZipRecruiter. The OKR goals to achieve by the end of the year are light years away from being reached. There was another feature that basically copied Jobvite as well, you post jobs and can have a page full of company jobs. That got shut down last year or this year?
well explained Indeed has never been Innovative. it has only one product which is their bread and butter. SLT can't think beyond it
@inindeed That is the case with most tech companies. Google makes almost all of the revenue off adsense/adwords.
Simply put, the career growth or salary hike in Indeed is almost non-existent. So make sure you negotiate well and also get your expected level else you will regret big time.
and then leave after couple of yrs?
Correct. Thats what Im doing right now.
Coast heaven
A great company. But the talent is leaving.
the 'good' talent have 'already left' Only one remaining are coasters, favourites and politics players
Or people waiting for Green cards 🥲
People will hang out until the final LTIPs are done and then start leaving in larger quantities or hanging out just to work as little as possible. No meaningful growth engine outside of riding the macro economy (this whole Interviews thing is a joke) but also not a lot of risk due to recruit ownership. Want to grow? Not at Indeed. Want to hang out with great WLB because you have young kids? Great place for that.
Thats already happening. Look at the attrition rate (especially in sites like Hyd which is affected by poor leadership as well)

Company is making $$$. The financial future is not in jeopardy at the moment.
What about the future growth plans and strategy to expand?. Heard refreshers are annual?
We have annual refreshers. We may not be able to grow at 30% forever but company is very healthy
