Future of splunk
whats the take on future and stock growth @splunk? lots of competetion, but still leader in enterprise. heard rumors that old timers r gone...! any thoughts
Hey LCdebugger, I noticed youโve been posting every so often about Splunk for the last few months. Why donโt you come join the party? In the time you started asking about Splunk the stock has gone up quite significantly.

So @racecar...: where do you think Splunkโs growth is coming from given that stock is @52 week high
Itโs from a massive TAM, #1 positions in security and IT markets, a transformational cloud solution that is changing the business from a financial perspective as well as several new technologies and products that are driving tremendous growth in existing and new markets. Iโve been at Splunk for 5 years. When people say the old times are over I think what they mean is that the company isnโt an industry secret and that we are changing to meet our next wave of challenges and opportunities. Because of that the culture of throw things at the wall and see what sticks has become a little more planned and deliberate but I think thatโs a good thing as before there were lots of 1.0 releases that never went anywhere. Projects now try to focus on have a real life span and impact on customers and the business.
Well quite a lot of companies would like to buy more of it. Catch is of course price tag..
