Nokia once had monopoly on mobile phones in late 1990s and early 2000s. However, it didn't think about investing in smartphones and went into oblivion. If you look at Toyota today, it's the only major carmaker that doesn't have a major bEV lineup so far and is betting on Hydrogen tech. Will Toyota meet the same fate?
They have a huge fleet of Prius’s which sort of fulfill the carbon footprint requirements for them.
Prius. Hate it all you can, but it kicks ass when it comes to reliability.
I like my Toyota car
They have ev but haven't gone all in because they know ev isn't good yet
Camry hybrid Is the best
I like my toyota hybrids, both ones and briefly a Lexus. Just feels good having them
No. They are the incumbent, and can afford to sit back and let Tesla run the risk of being this century's Stanley Steamer.
How is that? Desis who were Camry loyals are now increasingly Tesla loyals and see Tesla cars as status symbols!
Toyota did great with hybrids. They need to develop an EV program, but for now they are in a good spot.
