I want to plan a trip to the Canada side Niagara Falls. We plan to stay at a hotel in NY side. I was thinking of crossing to Canada side early morning on a day, visit the falls and Skylon tower, and return to NY for the night. Next day, we will see the NY side and wrap it up. I wanted to drive to Canada side because parents are aged and can't walk too far. I will carry Indian passports with GCs, and kids' US passports. What is the process (immigration, security check etc.) to drive to the Canada side? Any tips/suggestions related to crossing, and the actual visit on the Canada side (like parking or restaurant suggestions etc) would be great. Thanks.
Although the Canadian side is better, you can always just ride the maid of the mist and see most of what you want without crossing. If you do go to the Canadian side, head up to the top of the horseshoe falls, there is a tourist area where you can watch the water go over close up. Also the whirlpool east of the falls is nice as well. You can take a cable car over the water and back.

As a Canadian, I'd just walk over, they can't deny me entry. Now in your case, you need to get tourist visas for everyone traveling into Canada. This has about a 4 to 8 week lead time and require fingerprinting.
US citizens and green card holders don’t need visas to travel to Canada
Wait what, we let green card holders through with no visa stamp but the US won't let our PRs visit?
