Hi, I recently got an offer for E5 level at Meta. I had a team matching call with NextSys team(Compute Infra team) under FAIR org. I was hoping if I can get more info about the team, expectations, tech stack. I have 8 YOE with 4 years at Msft and 4 years working in software domain for semiconductor companies. TC is TBD after team-matching Update: After my talks with the manager, was told this is not a typical SWE distributed role and deals with the compute infra for Meta's AI supercomputer cluster. It is going to be a specialist kind of role which involves efficiently managing, optimizing and customizing the supercomputer cluster(ranging from hardware -> software -> AI model tuning) and working closely with AI researchers, who will be our primary customers. I am concerned if this role leaves with less hands-on experience with coding. I was told there is scope to developing telemetry tools, performance benchmarking and there are engineers devoting 50%+ of their time coding. If anyone can help provide more information to address my concerns, appreciate it. Thanks !!
