You’ll be underpaid. Culture is pretty laid back, for better or worse (worse to me, I couldn’t get anything done). The bottom up approach means decisions that are obvious and simple are impossible or very difficult/tortuous... everyone has an opinion but no one has authority to fix problems. This leads to tons of tech debt. Avoid for DevOps/SRE positions. Nice people.
Culture is cool, but the pay is underwhelming. I’m in sales and think things may change as we move up market but, I’m unsure of about devs.
My offer from them was laughable. Significantly lower than my current and previous company salaries. They do have stock grants (you don’t have to purchase them) and you get more each year, which is great. But even with the stock grants included, the salary is below market and less than my last two salaries.
