Is it possible to skip sending the transcript to Google before getting an Interview for internship?

Just send your transcript. Someone I know has a sub 2.0 technical GPA and still got an interview and made it to onsite.
Your transcript is not part of the decision making during HC. Solely on the interview performance
But seems like you won’t even get an interview if your gpa is too low???
My understanding is also that Google weighs in GPA as a filter since there's too many applications.
