Israel prevents Palestinians from gathering rainwater? Seems wrong on so many levels to me
Microchip Technology announced recent pay cuts to all employees. Execs get 20% and other employees get 10%. But this has unearthed a serious poisonous practice by people who run the company. It's emerging that a lot of their employees with work visas, despite years of technical experience, seem to fall well below prevailing wages due to a mere 10% pay cut. And the company seems to have systemically paid them minimum wages per labor department with hardly a growth curve. I hope labor Dept and USCIS gets a tip and conducts a stringent investigation. The worst state is the company is letting these visa employees decide on taking a pay cut n falling below minimum prevailing wages. Isn't this a white collar crime by the company? Prospective employees, watch out!
The employees are just as complicit... they were willing to allow themselves to be used just so they can stay here on a work visa.
This is victim bashing. Happens all the time. Either you don’t know how visa works in USA or you r ignorant.
I’ve been on an F1, OPT, H1B... so I do know how visas work. I also know many immigrants are desperate enough to stay here they are willing to take less pay than required by law just to maintain their visas. The employees are not held against their will... they can always make a complaint and leave.
Agree with Buhari here
White collar crimes don’t matter much in the US. What world do you live in?
