Look at their careers page. It's not a layoff so much as replacing people with cheaper employees in India.

And the idiot VP who thought it's wise to ovebid and buy up all SFHs still sits tight. Same idiot probably got promoted for "investments" made that year.
I have heard rumors about how they have sophisticated model for determining a fair value but they just disregarded that and bought homes well over fair value to meet revenue targets..
That's what clueless leadership is good at when greed is the motivator.
