Looks like they're forcing the 3 day RTO. Not sure what the data range is going to be. What's this y'all? Total Exp: 6yrs TC: $215k https://fortune.com/2023/10/20/amazon-return-to-office-mandate-manager-guidelines/
It’s the same at Apple and many other companies as well. You don’t follow company policy you can be let go. Why would you risk getting fired. Just change to a full remote job if you can’t come in

A garbage company does garbage things. I’ll say it once and I’ll say it again: the only reason to join Amazon—if at all—is only to bounce to another FAANG later on. If it weren’t for that and the gobs at money that they throw at employees to keep them from voluntarily leaving, this company would have virtually no one applying for it. I’ll never work for Amazon, and I wish more people thought the same way. TC: 105K
Have you even worked for Amazon? ‘If it weren’t for that and the gobs at money that they throw at employees to keep them from voluntarily leaving’ I thought we all work for money. Or would you rather work for peanuts but (in your dreams) with family treatment? Genuine question.
Manager of an org here. The guidance is nearly identical to the performance management process. This appears to be very very real and serious. No clue how they will go about it, but the manager steps are clear on what is to happen. If you want to protect yourself, comply. Anything else puts you at risk Not hr, just honestly concerned for my team.
Does that mean I’ll get severance if I do not comply?
Not known at this point, the guidance is vague for the actual mechanical “last step”
I never seen jassy in light with any good initiative but somehow Amazon chose a micromanager to lead organizations, he is such a sad puppy
Old news chicken little. Check it, those who don't get fired (kinda rto'ing) will have it effect their pay next year.
"Looks like they're forcing the 3 day RTO"? It's already enforced, this is only the new consequence if you don't comply.
