Farewell on pivot.
So I decided to leave the company with tier 1 survarance after coming back from fmla. My skip level mentioned he can move me under him as I had always raised concerns about my manager . They need people he said. He said if I choose improve plan path then he will be my new manager while we work on plan. Now when I decided to quit, he told me he will have my virtual farewell arranged.Got the invite from my actual manager. I’m like feeling weired, what am I supposed to say in farewell. “You made my life miserable? “
At one of my team farewells, the skip asked me: what is your experience with this team? I said - let's take this offline.
Just decline it
Just talk about life after amazon… If someone asks u, then return the ball to them… “how about u all had the experience with me? I think the feeling is mutual”…
If you are on Visa you need a letter later so be good. Else Speak ur heart out.
This is why I get a letter every 6 months anyway
What letter? Experience letters come from HR teams and there’s absolutely no need to contact previous managers
How much was tier1 severance? 12 weeks base salary?
I’m not aware of calculations… I guess around that
Honestly Call em out! I’m so sick of this horrid culture. If you skip that, they get off the hook easily. Others (whoever) in your farewell will get the state of reality of their team.
