How's engineering like at Godaddy? Especially domain aftermarket team. Heard they're using golang and other tech so sounds like interesting work about scaling.
I’ve heard Aftermarket is pretty understaffed, and not the hottest thing in the world. Lots of golang, lots of rewriting old stuff and migrating to aws.
I see. Is there opportunity to work with large scale system like FAANG companies?
Try platform teams which is where a lot of investment being made. They have large scale new systems they are building. Source: spouse works on one of those teams at Godaddy.
Lots of golang, lots of AWS work & rearchitecting

It's definitely not FAANG level. The aftermarket world has about 20K users so systems are designed around that.
