Cleared Amazon onsite, but lowballed.
I had gotten extended an offer from GM last week. We could not come to terms with salary. The managers agreed that I should have come in at the higher rate, but HR would not budge. The recruiter did mention he wanted to stay in touch to help me get a role at GM. I am a little curious about opportunities at the Austin Innovation Center. I worry about having to relocate if the opportunities are not in the Austin office. Would it be beneficial to try and get my foot in the door at GM or better off trying another local company ?
GM has low salary levels
Try interviewing at tech companies. Better pay
All I’ll say is I Had a friend who had the same situation. They didn’t budge with competing offers. He went elsewhere
Thanks. The offer was not much higher than where I am now. I tried asking for RSU stock, but GM does not do that. I will just stay where I am now.
That’s probably best unless they suddenly come back with a lot more. I personally wouldn’t expect it
