Modi is a legend, will be remembered for centuries to come
We are having lots of layoffs at our company. In a few weeks, they are cutting our pay by 20%. Company is sinking and they promoting putting bad apples with questionable ethics in charge. We are about to go on a 4 day work week so it will give me more time to study - which is hard to do atm. Also feeling burnt out a bit. Making stupid, careless mistakes even. In my late 30s, have a house and hoping to start a family soon, so wlb is a must. That is partly the reason why I stayed here so long. I see tons of jobs in San Fran/Bay Area. Would prefer to stay and can work remote. Not looking for referrals atm, want to get going on refreshers - Avionics is very different from the rest of the world. c++11 and old full stack with legacy technologies that have been mostly phased out. We are just updating to the latest node just now. Any recommendations about areas to study, catch up on will help. Thinking of moving to full-stack only, but money is in c/c++.
Did this happen at Panasonic? Where are you located?
Yes. I am in orange county.
Because of covid-19 every company is doing extra hours and downsizing. Pandemic wasn't handled properly by the top leader in charge. Now you can see how a top down culture is critically important in any organization.
