What % TC increase is worth giving up WFH?
Hi everyone. So I been working at Walmart Labs for a few weeks here and so far I'm having a great time as my first developer job. I think the work is great, I'm learning a lot and my team is really great. I'm thinking of staying here for the long term. The issue is that I'm a vendor right now and would like to be an actual employee. I'm wondering how should I approach in being converted, what to do and when I should bring up the conversation. Any leads would help.
Yes, do your job to your best. Maybe bring it up with your manager after some time when you feel you have contributed.
Seems very unlikely, you have a better chance of switching jobs
I think the way it usually works is that if you do an impressive job during your contracted period as a vendor then you have a shot at converting to a full time employee. I don’t have any firsthand experience with this but I have heard similar stories from friends who are/were consultants.
