I have a bachelors in chemical engineering and three years Program management experience with the state of NJ. I’m looking to make a move to the Seattle area and want to shift to a PM position at a large well known company. Whether it’s the tech field or companies like Expedia, Nordstrom, Coinbase, T-Mobile, etc.. It is extremely competitive getting your foot in the door. Does anyone have any advice as per companies to apply to or even referrals? #programmanager #tech #techcareer #referral #coinbase #nordstrom #tmobile #expedia #microsoft #amazon #boeing
Why does everyone want to be in PM? I'm pivoting away from PM (technical). It's oversaturated with MBAs who have virtually no technical background - a lot of these people don't even know how the product works or why it works
That’s exactly what I’m trying to be

PM is irrelevant role and will die in next 2-3 years.
Any reason you’re not checking out smaller, well known startups? That was my path into big tech
