Applied to Expedia and got rejection email next day, did my resume not pass ATS scan? they use workday TC: 140k
Recruiters aren't complete idiots. They do know the requirements of the role, and most of the time they share the Resume with the hiring manager, and the manager is the one rejecting, not the recruiter. WD (or any ATS) never automatically rejects candidates and sends an email, that is always triggered by a person. Also, even if you are an absolute fit for the job, there are many factors that would still cause a quick rejection (such as: the job has candidates in late stages, there may be offers pending or even recent offer accepted, there is an internal candidate the manager is moving forward with, or perhaps the manager has an absolute requirement for the role and your Resume doesn't have that requirement listed). Lastly, isn't it better to get a quick rejection email rather than never hearing anything???
And if you don't already know, if you don't fall into a diversity bucket, you probably won't move forward.. Diversity at EG is now pretty much a requirement for the job, more so than any other requirement listed on the job description... It sounds terrible, but that's the truth :/ sad days we live in!!
Out of curiosity Do y’all consider veterans into a diversity bucket?
Expedia is shit you dodged a bullet
Expedia has hiring freeze right now
I got rejection in 1 hour😑
Did you check the box that you need visa sponsorship
Nope I'm a citizen
Hm honestly I think recruiters just take a 5 second look at resumes and deny. May not be automated. I have even referred perfect candidates to get denied in a couple hours. The market is tough. I’d also try to get your resume reviewed and see if you can make some adjustments. Just my 2 cents gl!
