It’s been 2 weeks since I did my onsite with Disney for a team that is part of Hulu. I think overall it went well, except for a hard LC question for which I was in the right approach (since I solved it after the interview and submitted to LC) but didn’t have time to make a lot of progress. I emailed them after a week to see if they a status but no reply. I wonder if they filled/closed the position or have a freeze but it’s strange that they wouldn’t just send me an email saying they won’t move forward with me or some stuff like that. Anyways, it’s a bit frustrating that there’s no answer, neither positive or negative. Did it happen to you? TC 230-240 YOE: 9
Yeah! I have similar experience with Disney recruiter, no follow up. How was your interview process?
Phone screen was LC medium to hard. Onsite: 1 LC medium, 1 LC hard, 2 design, 1 behavioral/resume deep dive. Overall everyone was really nice and people I’d like working with. The medium LC went really well. The LC hard I had a good approach but didn’t have time to finish. It kind of threw me off that they would ask that question. If their expectations is that I do a good problem analysis and breakdown, I think did well, but didn’t get to code it. The interview with the eng manager was actually an enriching conversation for both of us, they took notes of some design considerations for their system that I suggested, that they said they didn’t think about that. The 2 system design went well based on their hints. We discussed options and trade offs and they said those are the right ones and the same trade offs they had to consider since the problems are based on real problems. How about you?
The recruiter ghosted me even before I had a chance to interview! I have very relevant experience, since streaming etc, but not sure why they didn’t even give me a chance to interview. Maybe positions are filled 🙂
Are u in Msft and still ghosted ?
What? Disney asks L.C hards for their 🥜 pay. Also they are very rigid on getting back to office. The position you interviewed with them was remote? A recruiter reached out to me in the morning regarding senior SWE position at Disney.
You probably got rejected and ghosted. Move on.
Disney / Hulu if your code does not runs they fail you despite of approach , they just care for ruining code , this was my experience last year
What’s the recruiter name?
Tyler. Same thing with you? Same recruiter?
Same
Disney recruiters are terrible. They don't answer at all
