I recently accepted an offer from Microsoft Azure, and everything went great. I was provided with a link to go over the background check with HireRight and that cleared in 4 days with all green flags and no concerns. Since then, I have been ghosted by the HR department and neither the recruiter is responding my emails. This is not the first time that Microsoft has had issues with change of priorities, or lack of funding, or even getting rid of a recruiter who forgot to communicate with me that I had an offer. With all those experiences, I wonder if the team has changed their minds, and they are just not communicating it back to me. I'm also concerned with how they treat their candidates and wonder if that is going to be a reflection on how my time there is going to be. Has anyone been in similar shoes? I just wonder is this a waiting game or I should be looking somewhere else. Thanks! #Microsoft #offer #HR #Ghosting
Which position?
Yea typical ms.
Happened with me after team match in Amazon, turned out recruiter was let go. Same thing happened with my close friend but before team match. If you have friends in Microsoft ask them to check.
That’s horrible. 😐 You could try reaching out to hiring manager on Linkedin may be.
Sounds like msft

How long has it been?
One week since Hireright sent the report back to Microsoft. I have been emailing AskHR and the recruiter but nothing.
I was not ghosted post-hireright. They can be a little slow but ultimately from offer signed to finishing the background check and setting a start date took 3-4 weeks. My BG check took longer tho cuz one former company got acquired and always is a problem for verifying employment.
I'm talking to my current employer to try to do some damage control as they got the call from HireRight regarding my offer from Microsoft. As Microsoft is taking so long, I feel it is safer to decline the offer and continue my employment. This is quite stressful as they might not take it the right way and might want to negociate a lower pay to get me back. Thanks, Microsoft for putting me in this hard position and force me to walk back and apologize to my employer.
Woah I did not know they would call your current employer. Does every company do that?
There's a check box to tell them not to contact your current employer....
Yep, sounds like Microsoft
