Ghosted by Uber!!
I was told that I cleared the phone screen and would hear about the next steps (virtual onsite) and then there’s just radio silence and it has been more than a week. This is my 3rd incident with different orgs/roles where I have been ghosted after passing phone screens. What is wrong with Uber? Why waste time when you aren’t serious.

Talent acquisition is super slammed and short staffed. They are basically backfilling all the roles they separated at the beginning of the pandemic. Be persistent.
Persistent with what? I have reached out several times and haven’t heard back. I am assuming that the recruiter has blocked me/my emails at this point :) and tbh I don’t want to come down as a desperate weirdo but it’s surprising that except Uber I have had this experience with Amazon and Twitter so far. Worst recruiters in the industry.
They laid off 50% of talent acquisition at the beginning of the pandemic and doubled the workload. It’s not the recruiters. It’s management. Sorry you feel that way but being ghosted isn’t entirely uncommon. Best of luck.
