Bit of a peculiar interview process for me. Applied to GitHub around March time and was given a take-home assignment as the first step. Well I didn’t get a chance to finish so I said, “Forget it, move on”. June rolls around and I get an email from a recruiter asking if I was able to complete the test and sends me a fresh new one. Passed it and made it to the final stages and interviewed at the end of June. Now I’ve heard GitHub has a quick turn around when it comes to decisions but I just now got a rejection email. What gives? I’ve heard their recruitment is going through a rough patch but I would think a decision would come quicker than this. Bummed that I didn’t get an offer as I felt I did really well. Anyone been in a similar situation? #tech #interview #GitHub
Take home assignment for PM too?
No. It was for a SWE role
Same, I thought I did well in all rounds but got rejected without any feedback. I was interviewed by MS engineers so blaming them :)
Sucks they don’t provide feedback. I’ll probably try again in 6 months
Same happened to me non engineering
I interviewed at June and passed but no team match. No rejection.
They probably had better candidates and waited for them to accept.
