Asians - what are your thoughts on asian female white male ?
We are moving to Github and looks like I can use my personal account or create a new work account for my organization. Do you use your personal or have a separate work account for Github at work? Any pros/cons for one or the other?
GitHub actually encourages having one account per person for both personal and professional repos https://help.github.com/en/articles/types-of-github-accounts
But, what if you're committing code to personal LC repo? Just need to keep all those private then?
OMG,F5 doesn’t have a private installation of github locally?
We used to.
It’s hard to use multiple github accounts on the same machine (without specific apps or special setup). But if you have separate work/personal laptop, separate accounts would be a good idea.
Would setting global config to be work account and setting local configs for personal repos work? I have multiple personal repos on my work machine.
Github needs ssh key and uses it to tell one account from another. So you can play with ssh_config, but since it’s all goes to the same host, it’d be tricky. I’m using Tower app for that, it can use different ssh keys per remote per repo.
