Seems Infosys forgot the inflation numbers ๐

Sheesh, that carousel has been turning for a while.
Even in mid 2000s it was 2.75 lakh per year. Guess he doesn't notice these things since he is cross-eyed
This shows how 1. India failed to create alternative employment opportunities for these young kids 2. Social prejudices towards white collar jobs 3. Results is enormous supply growth for young engineers in India 4. So Infosys gets away with paying so low salaries.
Itโs India when it comes to this. But when America sends billions of dollars of aid and ammunition to Israel by both democrats and republicans, itโs only American politicians right?
Itโs such a big leap I couldnโt even understand the concept. How are these related?
It's demand and supply - inflation doesn't factor into it.
Infosys paying market salary (relatively with other mid size companies ) to hire mid/senior level engineers . Infosys consider fresher as factory workers (one of the earth best trainer in the world )
Mr Murthy opened a body shopping firm of low cost tech labor and talks like he opened Googl or something. He wants everyone to work 80 hrs on low wage.
All he did is pimping in a digital age. Just supplying labor to western markets. Fancier form of slave lord.
He only took advantage of cheap labor in India and liberalization in 1990s. People have been starting staffing companies with 2 people. They do it every other day. Had they done it in 1990 they would have become Narayan Murthy. If I have a beautiful hoe and a willing customer. I can make some money pimping. He has been marking himself as some high tech technologist guy. No he isnโt. He is just a pimp.
^ However, based on the number of Infosys people hired by the likes of Google, I will be surprised if their offers don't start coming with ways to claw onto future comp gains due to starting out at Infosys.
It was 3 lakhs in 2007 ๐
The salary was 3.25 lakh even in 2009 when I graduated.
ROFL
I think it was the same before that too. But can only confirm 2009 because I graduated that year and joined Infosys. Even during those days we felt itโs was such a lowball but the only other option I had was TCS with same salary. Most kids in my batch worked hard to during Infosys days to get out and find a better job.
