This is an era of blind, levels.fyi, leetcode, linkedin. Is Glassdoor dead?
Not yet but maybe soon. There still a lot of salary data on the site that people use. Even though some say it’s inaccurate it’s still a good starting spot for salary negotiations
Levels and blind and LinkedIn are all sources of info. Glassdoor is good for knowing what company culture is like too.
I wish there was another website that curates interview process like levels.FYI does for salaries.
Would be neat if they had a sister product called interviews.fyi
Glassdoor is 100% dead to me. Salary info was never accurate. The site itself never works on any normal connection, unless maybe you're unemployed and sitting at home without any VPN. Who has the time to wait 5 seconds to "keep Glassdoor safe"? Not me.
Microsoft thinking of buying Glassdoor OP?
The Glassdoor app sucks, it’s been super buggy for years and the navigation isn’t intuitive, also, the amount of salary data they have would seem like a good thing but like others have said, it tends to be really inaccurate, but I guess it still feels comforting to have some data rather than none at all. I do think the company reviews are helpful, I generally don’t touch anything with less than 4 stars on Glassdoor. As for levels, the thing to remember is that the scope is still very narrow and isn’t applicable to the majority of workers.
Glassdoor interview section is still really valuable. I never found their salary info to be accurate.
