Is filling for divorce reasonable given my situation
Been following a company for 1 year and almost all the negative posts have been removed. They're listed as one of GD's "Best places to work". Also follow Adobe and I've seen a pattern where negative posts are removed. Makes me feel companies can pay to keep their reviews favorable.
Intel: there is a way for companies to 'work with' their reviews via Glassdoor
This doesn't surprise me
Absolutely untrue
True, monitoring certain company, negative comments removed, false positive posts are put. Company ranking went from 2.8 to 3.5 in under 3 months
Zendesk seems to have legit reviews
Guidebook is internally notorious for fake positive reviews on Glassdoor however.
I saw it first hand, I posted a shitty review for my old company which was many pages behind a ton of fake hr reviews when I checked a few days later. The fishy part was most of the reviews in front were older. Saw the same thing happen with other bad reviews.
This ^
Fact of the matter is employers are probably how Glassdoor make most of their money. Next fact is Glassdoor is a corporation providing this service to make money and not out of the good of their heart. Lastly they completely own the data with no oversight. This is only the expected behavior.
Also heard of a big company telling people to post positive reviews.
Yes. I've been at two companies which asked us to post reviews a few weeks after being hired. Then followed up and asked if we posted and asked for a link. Garbage.
I'm prettttty sure that means your company needs to take a look in the mirror. Not that GD is a scam.
Sorry Glassdoor peeps, the truth hurts but you guys are working for a shitty scam site.
🙄🙄🙄
Not true at all
Yea Glassdoor turned into scam site. So sad!
this comment at 95% Trump tweet level
LinkedIn colluded with the Russians
So sad. I wish there was an honest site for company reviews.
ever heard of Blind?
Same happened w/ Yelp. Wonder how it works now.
Google it
It doesn't. Only Foursquare works and it doesn't let people give ratings, it infers the rating from behavior and tips/reviews.
Glassdoor is pretty consistent in my experience. But it wouldn't shock me if they removed posts
They refresh data after 1 year?
No, it's not that. A negative review gets posted then taken down a few days later. Not my reviews btw.
Reviews are only removed if they in some way break the guidelines. They may get through the automated filter at first and then are later reported by users which causes real eyes to take a look at the review. Negative reviews are more likely to break the rules, sexism, racism, naming other non exec employees, etc.
