The 20 highest-paying companies in Silicon Valley in 2019 https://amp.businessinsider.com/highest-paying-companies-silicon-valley-tech-2019-9 or is it intentional? 🤔
Haha well their employee # estimates are off by a bigger factor than the salary medians. “Founded in 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, Google is well known for its Googleplex headquarters in Mountain View, California. The massive company employs over 10,000 people. Median total compensation: $161,254”
Complete joke, companies now indicate median pay on SEC filings. Glassdoor can’t even be bothered to read that.
“According to SEC filings, the median pay for Google employees last year was $246,804.” * https://www.sfgate.com/technology/article/Silicon-Valley-tech-workers-companies-salary-pay-14047115.php
I think their article/summary is just created automatically using facts. So if employee count is > 10k, it says that rather than the specific number.
You may be right, except the “facts” part
Facebook reported their median compensation ($240k). They made it public. Nice job Glassdoor. You’re only off by $90,000.
Classic Glassdoor. Utterly unusable product that will fade away soon
Glassdoor is totally useless at this point.
Can't help but think that Glassdoor's days are numbered.
WTF none of those TC numbers make any sense.
