Glassdoor removed friend's terrible review of their company. People should know the conditions at Seattle WA company named Skilljar. the leadership team has now fired or driven away every account executive in enterprise - they micromanage constantly, fail to reward good work, and oversee your pipe to the point that you have to disqualify opportunities that could have been nurtured in order to cover yourself. they do not approve pricing even if they approved it a week ago (instead of finance it goes thru the c's all the way to the very top) and you have to continuously redraft docusigns, putting done deals in danger. they listen in on every call and presentation, critique word choice, personal anecdotes, rapport building, and dress, activity goals apply to account executives like to sales development. competitors provide an adequate product. territory reshuffling every two months. bitterness and grumbling in the lower ranks due to high turnover and total lack of promotion. difficult to deal with when something is needed. they have clearly overpromised to their board. they need to expectation set above appropriately or hire more to meet revenue goals. they can't squeeze blood from a stone. the ceo is not personable and is somewhat intrusive and prying - also displays poor management skills. they should reduce her to a figurehead. she also makes a point to read slack channels and dms and wants to be in all communities and affinity groups to manage sentiment highlight: coworker died, email was sent out, huge meeting held immediately after for sales, spent an intro on how much he would have wanted us to hit our goals - after that 5 minute intro normal agenda resumed. some employees crying in the background of the zoom. no one cared. he had 3 young children.
OP - ignore the children. Thank you for naming and shaming the toxic company.
Leave a 3 star review with all the details, they may be less likely to take it down. A typical person looking for a role at that company will never find this as Blind’s content is not indexed by the search engines and most ppl don’t know this app exists. People will continue to believe Skilljar is a magical employer as they’ll likely find the Glassdoor page & reviews when researching the company.
I'll pass this along thank you!
Zzzz
We think people should be able to search Skilljar name and find this - they incentivize employees to give good reviews so their Glassdoor currently is full of generic "rocketship" content. Sorry it does not entertain.
