All, Thought to share here of my experience with Glassdoor. I used to rely on Glassdoor platform to look up for reviews, salaries, benefits etc. Recently, i posted a review for one of my ex-employer. To note here, the employer is an "engaged" employer (has an employer account with glassdoor). I just posted one review. The review was approved, published on portal for two days and later removed. When i inquired with the Glassdoor support team, the response was lukewarm with no specific answer as such for the decision to remove. Couple of my colleagues post they heard of my experience with Glassdoor which i mentioned here, have exactly experienced the same, i.e, their reviews with any negative feedback though initially published, were later removed. I see employer in some reviews respond as the employer is "paid and engaged" employer for Glassdoor, but employer responds selectively only to few. Any negative reviews, though are accurate from employee experience and perspective were removed. Another interesting note to mention here is that Glassdoor "silently" removes the reviews, with out any notification to employee who posted the review. This i believe is open bias and fabrication of public platform to unfavorably support employers. At the end, employer %rating, % feedback positive rating was maintained intact. All 4 employees from different regions, have their feedback removed. This can't be mere coincidence. Feedback from Glassdoor support team was a standard response with no specifics for the decision. Please don't trust this platform or with their content and numbers. Avoid it as much as you can specifically for engaged employers. Don't base your decisions or use the portal with caution! Deliberate removal should be the last option for portal like Glassdoor! If employees at large feels that the company and its work culture is good, then the feedback will surface eventually. Removing the content to favor employers is highly unethical for a public platform i believe. #Tech #Careers #WorkCulture #Fraud @google @amazon @facebook @apple @microsoft @accenture @deloitte @glassdoor @pwc @jobs @software engineering
Saw the same thing happen to my review as well
Exact same experience (not MSFT)
Blind just opened Company reviews and the scores are actually legit. Nowhere close to Glassdoor's biased score lol
Can you please post the link here?
It's only on the web right now.. https://www.teamblind.com/company/Amazon/ 2.0 sounds about right... haha
Thank god for Blind! Ever since I saw paid for ratings in the other industries, I figured it has to be happening in tech, especially when you weigh it against what global newspapers report on CSR. Capitalism and neoliberalism always at work. We do have a choice of where we put our minds to work.
