I always get a bad feeling from companies who respond back to bad reviews on Glassdoor. Especially in a very dismissive way. How do you guys feel about this?
Glassdoor is not a trustworthy site, it serves companies as a recruiting tool. Sort the the reviews by new to see if any trends pop up and only pay attention to those that are more than 3 lines. The short one line 5 star reviews are fake and the ranting 1 stars are usually those who were low performers
I definitely agree on the fake reviews. I am curious to know what other platform you would recommend for getting insight from employees?
I search on here mostly. Glassdoor I try to get big picture themes - if 10 reviews say the head of product is trash, I’ll believe it or if even positive reviews mention poor WLB, I take note. But all those “it’s so fast paced you’ll learn a lot” are to be taken with a grain of salt.
