Going to join Grab: Must Knows

Going to join Grab Singapore soon. They mentioned about 6 months of probation, how risky it is? Do they strive to find a way to know whether they can fire me within probession? Also, they are not giving me any temp stay? As I am moving from India to Singapore, then they should have, but it seems weird to see this. Thanks for answers.

They'll probably also cane your ass before firing you.

Why do you say that? Did you work in grab? What's it that you're majorly missing to tell me.

or you might get food poisioning from expiring snacks. They import them from third world countries lol

Good luck dude. The worst culture I’ve ever experienced in my life. I’ve seen a few people who haven’t passed probation. I’d say it’s relatively easy though. Those people were very dependent or struggled with English language.

Grab probation is pretty easy (got a friend there). But...honestly you are better off in Canada or the U.S.. Singapore is not good in many ways.

Why Singapore is bad, it got a pretty high city ranking

The infrastructure is good (the things you can see). The culture and people are not.

By the way...Singaporeans look down on Indians. Treat them in a discriminatory way personally and professionally. You are better off in Canada or the U.S. (where anyone regardless of race can become CEO)

And then Indians look down on others here...

Probation should be fairly easy to pass. I'd advice to not join any team in Grab Financial (GFG).

Veritas @veritas OP Jun 9, 2019

Thanks for the response. No, it's not Financial team. Do you work at Grab? Did you also move to Singapore from outside?

Yes, No
