Recruiter reached out about a role in the Acclerate division at GS. Anyone have any experiences/anecdotes/reviews? #goldmansachs
They said it's a "new team" within the Accelerate division. You got any insights?
Accelerate has some good work. I am biased but they do things that the rest of the firm is behind at.
Depends on which accelerate team you are getting hired at. Not all projects are that interesting - only upside depending on project, no legacy code
It's the Scribe team if you've got any info about them.
Goldman is a good name for Resume but a boring place to work. Company has Zero culture.
No longer a good name, especially for engineers. Fin tech companies are already catching up and will beat them as soon as they run out of old money and clients that follow archaic investment strats. They do have a culture and that is a horrible ones, very political and authoritarian similar to amzn and msft.
Goldman is definitely authoritarian. Microsoft that hasn't been my experience at all. It feels like I work for myself. But all roles are different - I never really need to go into Office
