Thinking of moving to India, currently VP at GS in Strat/Quant division. What are the numbers these days in Bengaluru? What's the conversion factor? YoE: 4 TC: 300k
Sharing what I saw with graduates joining fresh after IITs. 4 YoE gets to be associate with base pay range ₹40-50L. Exceptional folk get to be VP in 5 YoE (a decent employee in 6 years) - at which point base is around 70. Ofc last year bonus in GS was 60-70%. Pay corrections happened after that (and last year was exceptionally good - performance wise) so the bonus % might drop this year.
70 base sounds good actually. I was expecting close to 50 base. What is this market correction? Like the one recently happened in US?
Yes.. 4YoE associates got a hike of 35-40% on an average in year-end revisions.
Ask for atleast 80L-1CR. Market is hot right now in India. And you wanting to move back is a win for the team too.
I agree. What's the base and bonus composition in your opinion? I'm hoping at least 80 TC
sent dm
GS quant vp 45 to 70 base around 30% bonus
Thanks. 30% seems low though
Whats the usual base and TC for a VP after 10+ YoE if they are in Marcus vs being in strats in India.
At 10+, what matters is the revenue you're bringing. VPs can make 300 early on, Quant and trading VPs I mean, after that it's all about revenue
What's the TC for Associate level role for JP Morgan for Card Risk strategy role in India?
35-40 perhaps
Hey guys what are the best Quant roles in GS that can help transition to prop-shops later ? I've heard of an Alpha Research team that does some interesting work
.
300k at 4 YoE is impressive ! Which team are you in
4 yoe and VP. lmao
In Finance org the mapping is different, VP in a finance domain is equivalent to L5 level in a Tech org
I had 2 yr in JP too. Also, if you can't contribute, keep your opinion to yourselves amzn
