Does anyone know how common it is for Goldman Sachs to give return offers to their engineering summer SWE interns for the NYC office? Should I be concerned of no return due to market conditions? TC: Student #engineering #software #swe #intern #goldman #goldmansachs
Intern converted to FTE last year, India office PPO conversion rate depended on department and number of openings. Also almost all decently performing interns got the offer, GS prefer filling campus hire positions with interns rather than hiring new ones. Also, what are they paying you?
Pls reach out to your internship manager to confirm that the return offer is still valid. There have been requests to managers to justify retaining internship return headcount.
Generally if there is headcount for the internship there would be an opening for a full-time role the following year to be filled by said intern. Interns also have the possibility to explore other teams and apply for a return offer from a different team than the one they interned with. So possible to get a return offer from 2 teams. GS is usually pretty good with handling interns/new grads. Source: work as hiring manager and closely with HCM.
Do you know when interns with a return FTO will start? I haven’t heard back from GS in a while.
As in new grads starting 2023? Slightly varies between Americas/EMEA/APAC but in the Americas is usually like around June/July-ish. If you haven’t heard back you could reach out to your HCM contact.
